Background & Credentials

     Dr. Kropiewnicki, an Assistant Professor of Education at Wilkes University, works extensively in the field of professional development for educators. 

     Dr. Kropiewnicki is a life-long educator. She has worked in the field of education as an elementary and middle school teacher and principal, a reading specialist, and most recently, as a university professor and educational consultant.  She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Bloomsburg University, an M.S. in Reading from the University of Scranton, and an Ed.D. from Temple University in Educational Leadership.  She holds PA certification as an elementary teacher & principal, reading specialist, supervisor of curriculum and instruction, assistant superintendent, and a superintendent's letter of eligibility.

     Dr. Kropiewnicki has presented at numerous professional conferences at the national, state, and local levels for such organizations as the American Education Research Association, the American Association of School Administrators, the National Reading Conference, the Keystone State Reading Association, the Pennsylvania Middle School Association, and the Bloomsburg University Reading Conference, to name but a few. 

     Dr. Kropiewnicki has designed numerous in-service programs for teachers on the topics of the reading & writing process, cooperative learning, multiple intelligences, differentiated instruction, and educational assessment.  She has also created programs for students to enhance their achievement.  Her most recent programs include "S.O.S. Study, Organize, Succeed" and "The Reading Round-up."

     She provides consulting services to schools to better the education of students through the professional development of teachers.
