The class will be divided into 9 groups of three students. Each group will be assigned one of the nine planets of our solar system:

mercury1: Mercury

venus1: Venus

earth: Earth

mars1: Mars

redline:

jupiter1: Jupiter

saturn1: Saturn

uranus1: Uranus

neptune1: Neptune

pluto1: Pluto

During the next month of class, you will search several web sites to research your planet, compiling as much information and as many photographs as you can. Your final group project must include the following:

(1) a model of your planet and an attached characteristic sheet.

(2) at least 10 visual aids such as drawings, photographs, tables,and graphs.

(3) a 30 minute oral presentation outlined using an overhead projector or powerpoint.
