Cost
The tuition for the three credits for either Communications 398 or
History 398 will be included in the Spring Semester. Students can also take a special History 101 class that is part in London and part on line. For
full-time
Wilkes students taking under 18 hours, this means there will be no
additional charge for tuition for this course. Please contact the
faculty members if you are not a full-time Wilkes student for
information about fees.
Travel fees not specified, the
assigned texts, and passport fees are additional. All students who
sign up for the trip will be contacted with ordering information for
the books.
This year's cost per person (double occupancy) for
travel is $1999. A $250 nonrefundable
deposit will be due in late September. The
remainder will be due around 1 November. These dates are set by the airline, not by us.
The single supplement is $399 (which entitles you to your own private
room instead of a shared one).
Your travel fees include:
- Roundtrip airfare from Newark to London on Virgin Atlantic
- Ground transportation to and from Newark and Wilkes-Barre and Heathrow airport to our hotel in central London
- Six nights in the Corus Hyde Park, a first class hotel in central London
- Breakfast in the hotel for six mornings
- Two dinners (first and last nights in London)
- London Transport passes for our entire stay
- Admission to all class locations
Your travel fees DO NOT include (and you should budget for):
- Costs of a US passport (and any visas for non-American nationals)
- Any meals not specifically mentioned above (essentially all lunches and dinner on every night except the first and last)
- Evening entertainment options
- Insurance
The travel agent who arranged this trip will make available optional entertainment packages and insurance coverage.
