This web site has been created to archive the products, and continue the discussion, of a CCCC workshop conducted on March 20, 2002, titled 'Takin' It to the Streets: Creating a Tutor Training Network Outside the Tutor Training Course' We hope to develop here a community to support our work and maintain a clearinghouse of good training ideas for those of us who are forced to find alternative routes for tutor training.

Who are we? Check out the About page

Beginning September 12, 2002, I will begin collecting training artifacts of various kinds and posting them to this site: syllabi from institutions delivering traditional training courses and training strategies from those places that provide training by alternative means. Click on List to see the collection as it grows.

Like to join the discussion?

  1. Please join this site. Look to the left of this screen to find, at the bottom of the three navigation bars, a hot link called 'join now' that will take you to a short form.
  2. Fill this out--it will only take you a few minutes. Once you post the form, you have completed the first step in the process.
  3. Log in to the site, and then you may want to post a message for the group: choose 'Create New Topic' from the nav bar to the right to get you to the discussion page. Postings are viewable only by members of the site.
  4. The next time you return to the site, click on the 'Recent Discussion' link in the nav bar to the left to get to the discussion board. There you can either post a new topic or respond to another's post. You can comment on any page by clicking on the icon at the bottom of it: com:
  5. Finally, please bookmark this page. We hope you will want to visit often, so be sure you can find it again.
