Observatory Designs
As spring approaches, the snow clears, and the ground softens, the time has come to begin serious planning for the observatory. I set about making some fairly detailed drawings with TurboCAD as a way of getting a handle on the materials needed. Below are two of those drawings, a front and a side view.
The current plan is for the observatory to be 10' x 12' with a removable internal wall that will allow for a small heated and covered computer room in the winter months.

The side view reveals that the roof will not roll completely off. It will always shelter approximately 4' of interior space.
