Quickcam Model II PC B/W Astrocam modifications--circa 1999-2000

parts1: parts10:
Here are the assorted parts for the PC version of the B/W Quickcam. Unlike the Macintosh version, the CCD chip on the PC version is on the opposite side of the circuit board from the rest of the camera's circuitry.  My intention for this camera is to add a fan for air cooling, perform the ABG modification, and install a small switch to turn the anit-blooming gate function on and off.

I embedded the brass ring from the quickcam into the PVC fitting by heating it and compressing it into the opening.  Thus, it functions as a bushing for the black plastic lens cover that mounts over the CCD.
parts4: parts5:
The optical tube is made from 1.25" brass drain pipe.  Attached is a standard plastic compression fitting.
A PVC ring was prepared to fit over the compression fitting and attach to the front of the main camera mounting plate.

The camera mounting plate is then inserted into the gray plastic ring.
The CCD board then fits into the brass bushing.
