Banner Upgrade This Saturday
The Banner production system, including self-service, will be unavailable on Saturday May 28th between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. while an oracle upgrade is performed.

Kudos
Mr. Rick Grant, Master Well Owner and president of the Carbon County Groundwater, hosted a satellite videoconference on maintaining a safe water supply at the Carbon County Emergency on May 4th. The videoconference was sponsored by the Penn State's Master Well Owner Network and the Pennsylvania Ground Water Association, and originated from Penn State's University Park campus. Following the 1-hour video conference, Mr. Brian Oram, Professional Geologist at Wilkes University and Director of the Center for Environmental Quality participated in a question and answer session for the local audience. Mr. Ankur Sharma, graduate student in electrical engineering, under the mentorship of Professor Vijay Arora, has published a paper titled, "Velocity-field characteristics in the multivalley model of gallium arsenide," that appeared in the prestigious Journal of Applied Physics, April 1, 2005.

The Joint Urban Studies Center has listed on its website a paper titled "Planning and Managing Quality for Success: Engineering the Thinking Processes for Ongoing Continuous Improvement" (.pdf format) by Professor Vijay K. Arora. The paper is listed on the Faculty Research page of the JUSC site.
