Alonso, Harriet Hyman. Many Are The Crimes. New York Press, New York 1994.

This sourse is a professional comprehensive analysis of McCartyism. It is used to delineate the whole of the curcumstances of what really took place in those years. It could be said that this source is too cosentrated, but I found that it has many things to say about the world ingeneral.

Distler, Paul Antonie. "McCarthyism, Here We Come Again." Bulletin of the Association for Business Communication. n65 (1988): p60-64.

This source presents the concern for the accuracy in Academia; is there a scare prevention in modern day, through silent censorship? This Article is geared towards a more experienced observer of socio-political problems in the world. This Article provides information, which lends itself to a comparison of times and methods of censorship. It could be used for a variety of topics.

Townsend, Rebecca M. McCarthyism Revisited: Popular Press and Public Memory. Massachusetts, 1998.

This source focuses on Senator Joseph McCarthy as someone who took "necessary" anti-Communist movement to an extreme. This retells the incidence that took place in a very easy to follow fashion. It is very useful for informing anyone who reads it about what took place. I used it to give an overview of what happened during this time period; but on the other hand, it is very specified, and could not be used for every topical occasion.

Yarbrough, Charles G., Jr. Institutionalizing McCarthyism: An Exploration of Senator Pat McCarrab's Anti-Communist Activities in Congress. Pennsylvania Press, Pennsylvania 1988.

This source delineates Senator Patrick McCarran's legislative "Grand Strategy" (for the most part are still laws today) for eradicating all vestiges of communist influence in the United States. This is geared towards an older audience, but could indeed be comprehended by many ages. It is very professionally written, but is very one-sided. I will use this to demonstrate what the feelings were behind the congress of this time, and how it still exists. It doesn't lend itself well to many topics.
