This web site is the jumping off point for connections to student web work on Shakespeare, completed at Wilkes University, during the spring semesters of 2002, 2003, and 2005.

In each case, the Wilkes students have drawn on their experiences of reading Shakespeare in high school as well as their rereading in college to construct a web site that they hope will assist younger playgoer/readers as they attend a performance or read the play in class.  They hope their audiences find the experience, as they do, not a chore, like eating broccoli, but rather a pleasure--like eating chocolate!

  • Chocolate Shakespeare created by students in Eng 342/Shakespeare, spring 2002.
  • Caesar's Salad created by students in Eng 342/Shakespeare, spring 2003.
  • Chocolate Shakespeare created by students in Eng 342/Shakespeare, spring 2005 for the students in Ms. Dibble's ninth grade English class at Pleasant Valley High School
