How to link to external sites and other Manila sites with the Navigation XML:
<navigator>
   <item name="Koch's Home" pagename="http://course.wilkes.edu/koch/"/>
   <item name="Other Manila" pagename="/other/"/>
   </navigator>

Navigation controls the words on the left of the page.

Use &nbsp; for "Non-Breaking SPace"

Use <item name="&nbsp;" pagename=""/> for blank line in Nav Bar

Use <item name="Nothing" pagename=""/> for 'Nothing' not hot

Use the last tricks carefully:

Non-breaking (sticky) spaces make the Navigation Bar wider. Think what his would look like on the left:

Wilkes University Computer Science Department | Here's your page all the way over here!

Blank lines make a longer Navigation Bar.

Don't put too many non-hot words in Navigation Bar. It confuses users.
