Day 1: Departure on May 23
Some family members, e.g. Elisa's parents, uncle and aunt; and Jennifer's mother came to Keystone College to say Goodbye and offer Good Luck Wishes. Chrissy drove us to the JFK airport through George Washington Bridge, we arrived in the airport early and well
prepared. Due to Iceland volcano eruption, our airline FinnAir changed a route to avoid ash clouds
which took one hour longer to complete the journey.

Day 2: Helsinki (Flight Layover) on May 24
We enjoyed a few hours flight layover in Helsinki, Finland. We visited the
Central City including the Train Station/Bus Station, the Market Square, Uspenski Cathedral, and Helsinki
Cathedral.

Day 3: Arrival in Shanghai (Songjiang District) on May 25
We arrived in Shanghai in the morning. My brother, my sister in law's brother in law, along with my father, picked us up at the Pudong Airport. We visited Songjiang District which situated southwest of the Shanghai downtown area. Students had fun visiting various sites including Fangta (Square Tower) Park, Songjiang No. 2 Middle/High School and Zhongshan Primary School.

Day 4: Shanghai Zoo, 2010 World Expo China Pavillion and Shanghai Acrobatics on May 26
We visited Shanghai Zoo, and students were very happy to see Pandas and South China tigers. In the
afternoon, we visited 2010 World Expo China Pavilion which will no longer open to public in the end of
May 2011. In the evening, we went to watch the Shanghai Acrobatics Show. KC student Jimmy
participated in one of the exciting and thrilling (safe) performance. See a video clip at

Day 5: Shanghai Zhujiajiao Ancient water town on May 27
We visited Shanghai Zhujiajiao Ancient water town. We took the boat ride
and enjoyed bridges which are distinctive and old, built during Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Day 6: Shanghai Bund, Oriental Pearl Tower. Ocean Aquarium
We visited downtown Shanghai including the bund, the oriental pearl tower
which is the world's third tallest TV and Radio tower, and Shanhai Ocean Aquarium which is the largest ocean aquarium in Asia and one of the largest ocean aquariums in the world.

Day 7: The Great Wall in Beijing, Beijing Opera on May 29
We visited the Great Wall in Beijing. Great Wall is the only man-made object that can be seen from space. Most parts of the Great Wall were built in Qin and Ming Dynastieis. In the evening, we enjoyed Beijing Opera about a story of Journey to the West.

Day 8: Student Presentation, the Forbidden City on May 30
Students presented at Tsinghua University and visited the Forbidden City in
Beijing.
